The Power Athlete Trainers Course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of movement and the necessary skills to empower and level up your skills and knowledge as a trainer. It is the starting point for anyone seeking to improve health and fitness for all through effective training, intelligent programming and a successful mindset.

This course is an introduction to Power Athlete’s fundamental principles of movement and performance. No better starting point for anyone seeking to improve their knowledge base on health and fitness through effective training and movement. Prospective trainers and coaches will acquire the foundational training and programming required to help others become stronger, fitter and more healthy.

Over 2 and a half hours of video lecture and video movement instructions!

This course is done at your own pace. Depending on your learning style, you can read the required reading then watch the videos. We have also seen success in watching the videos first, then following up with the written material.

Coach McQuilkin is the Co-Host of Power Athlete Radio, Director of Training and Education for Power Athlete. Tex is a Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with over 15 years in the fitness industry applying and educating movement all over the world. Tex coached collegiately with Georgetown University, Marymount University (DIII) Men's lacrosse, as well as interned with the University of Texas at Austin's football program. He has also coached and implemented programs for tactical athletes including Naval Special Warfare and US Army XVIII Airborne Corps. Apprenticed under John Welbourn and Raphael Ruiz studying proper implementation of science based, performance driven training systems. Collegiate lacrosse defensive midfielder, 4-year letter winner and 3-year team captain at Marymount University (VA) - DIII “All-Star”.

This course is empowers the trainer in 1-on-1 or group class settings working primarily with general population clients. The curriculum focuses on changing health behaviors, improving coaching communication and writing intelligent programming specific for health, strength, and fitness. The Power Athlete Methodology is focused on unlocking athletic potential, training movement, and programming for the field/court sport athlete. The Block One Coach's Test is a 2 day in-person testing experience at Power Athlete HQ in Austin, Texas reserved for only those who have successfully passed the Power Athlete Methodology.
Is the course mobile and tablet friendly?
